MIRACK completed a $35,000.00 subcontract to provide traffic control for a Prime Contractor on their project to expand the Harbor South Bay Recycled Water System, approximately 4,260 LF of 12-inch diameter recycled water pipeline from West Basin Municipal Water District’s existing 41-in diameter mainline to be located between Broadway Street and Leonard Drive along Main Street through the city of Torrance, Los Angeles County, CA. The project required extensive traffic control, and public outreach and coordination with the surrounding local businesses as construction was performed under heavy public traffic conditions. The extensive traffic control plan and public coordination and outreach was developed and executed by MIRACK to the highest safety standards, without incident. Coordination with the Prime contractor, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, West Basin Water District and the City of Torrance was required to ensure all work was per plans and specification and conducted in a manner that would smoothly direct the constant flow of traffic in the city. MIRACK’s entire crew is professionally trained and certified in the skill of lane closure and flagging. MIRACK worked closely with the Prime Contractor and the City Engineer and inspection team to implement a detailed engineered traffic control plan. All activity was conveyed in an accurate Primavera Critical Path Schedule with daily inspection updates. MIRACK was also responsible for reviewing all O&M and Safety Manuals from subcontractors on this project for the Prime Contractor.
